Chungbuk is located in the center of the Korean Peninsula on the east end of the Asian Continent

Chungbuk province lies in the middle latitude and it is the only inland part of Korea which is adjacent to the sea. Due to such geographical features, it has a temperate climate with a hot humid summer and cold dry winter. It also has distinctive seasons. It produces abundant farm produce and has a wide variety of plant species. As the province is located near Seoul, transportation is convenient and the economy, education and culture are well developed, which make it a good place to live

At the northern end of the province, Wunhak-ri, Baekwun-myeon, Jecheon-si is located 37 degrees 15' 20" north latitude. At the southern end of the province, Yonghwa-ri Yonghwa-myeon Yeongdong-gu is located 36 degrees 00' 35″ north latitude. At the eastern end of the province, Dongdan Uipung-ri Yeongchun-myeon Danyang-gun is located 128 degrees 38' 15″ east longitude. At the western end of the province, Simpo-dong, Sangbong-ri, Heungdeok-gu Cheongju-si is located 127 degrees 16' 40″ east longitude.


Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office is at 82, Sangdang-ro, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si (Munhwa-dong). It is located 127 degrees 29' 57″ east longitude, 36 degrees 38' 30″ north latitude

Topographically, the land of Chungcheongbuk-do is long, stretching from north to south. The areas at the same latitude of the northern end of the province include Wondeok, Dogye, Taebaek, Yeongwol, Yongin and Suwon and the areas at the same latitude with the southern end of the province includes Pohang, Gumi, and Janghang
